What We're Learning

• Why are trees important?
• Community helpers.
• Letters name and sound (Kk, Ll, Aa, Zz, Uu, Tt, Gg, Jj).
• Reviewing our shapes.
• Recognizing the numbers 1 -10.
• Reviewing colors and learning color words.

Upcoming Events

• October 6th Parent-Teacher Conference 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM. Please sign up for a time in the sign in book.
• October 11th Picture Day at 8:15 AM.
• October 12th Field Trip. Leaving the school at 9:30 AM.
• October 18th - 20th Teacher Training-No School.
• October 31st Halloween Party at 11 AM.

Monthly Teacher Tip

• Review the letters from last month (Mm, Vv, Ii, Nn, Hh, Ee, Ff, Ww).
• Students should practice writing their name nightly.
• Review shapes (circle, oval, square, triangle, rectangle, star, hexagon, diamond).
• Practice counting from 1 to 20 and recognizing the numbers.
• Reading to your child at least 30 minutes a day improves their love for reading.
